Our passionate American fashion founders noticed the gaps in the industry and followed their enthusiasm to learn more. Traveling to southern factories to learn more about the craft, starting with first-hand experience in weaving, dyeing, cutting and sewing. The old saying, “it takes a village” has never been truer. Mentors from all different sectors of the industry, from styling to production and supply, have taught our founders the ins and outs. Royal Apparel was launched in the early 90s from a desk in Manhattan’s Garment District. The initial team of two began to grow, supplying luxury shops, national fashion brands and leading retailers with private label quality knitwear. By the end of the 90s, the vast majority of the fashion industry had moved production overseas. With passion, determination and sheer willpower, Royal Apparel stayed true to the DNA of our Made in America mission and never left.
Royal Apparel has evolved with the times and expanded into the millinery industry; creating and selling classic and timeless pieces. Royal Apparel has become the country’s leader in American made and eco-friendly clothing production. Our apparel is selected by top musicians/artists, wellness brands, entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 companies, the technology industry, national parks, museums, breweries, distilleries, restaurants, retail chains and more.
As Royal Apparel has grown since our inception, we have reinvested back into the company. We have expanded our Long Island headquarters and Pennsylvania manufacturing facilities; invested in upgraded computer systems and new high-tech production machinery; and continued to grow our workforce. With constant innovation and creativity from all aspects of the industry, Royal Apparel plans to expand and work with more of you and your favourite brands. Our company’s growth is helping to stimulate the American economy and help the planet – making us passionate about sustainable fashion.

I have been using Royal Apparel for my clothing needs for the past 3 years and I must say that my Account Manager, Iris, is a big reason why I am a repeat and loyal customer. Her attention to detail and personalised customer service is first class and really makes me feel like a valued customer. She is so poised that I feel like I am her top priority and I really look forward to business calls with her and our interactions.
The only thing I would highlight when working with Royal Apparel is their limited colour selection. I only have 100% organic cotton clothing so I know how limited that is, but their range of colour options is not as extensive as I would like.
